Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis break off engagement after seven years as they get used to co-parenting


Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis have quietly broken their engagement after seven years.

The couple reportedly went through an amicable split, and they have since adapted to co-parenting their two children.

They met at the after-party for the Season 36 finale of Saturday Night Live and began a romance a few months later.

Sudeikis told the story on The Late Show in 2017: ‘I actually looked a little cooler than I actually am because I’d heard through the grapevine, through mutual friends who weren’t exactly her best friends, who would report,’ Oh you know, I think she’s dating someone. ”

Both had just come out of previous marriages as Wilde was married to Italian Prince Tao Ruspoli, 45, from 2003 until filed for divorce in March 2011, two months before meeting Sudeikis.

He married Pitch Perfect writer Kay Cannon in June 2004, before splitting up in 2008 and divorcing in 2010.

Sudeikis was joking Jimmy Kimmel Live! When she was asked when they are finally getting married last May, “We’re waiting for weed to be legal in every state.”

The couple co-starred in the 2013 romantic drama Drinking Buddies and he later appeared in her 2019 directorial debut Booksmart.

Wilde told People of directing her fiancé: ‘That was great. He’s one of the best improvisers in the world so I knew I could cast him. It’s like spinning a top and just letting it roll. It’s really great to see him doing his thing. ‘
