Jennifer Lopez and Armie Hammer’s new movie seems to be a surefire hit.
The triple-threat, 50, and Call Me By Your Name star, 34, have both been cast in Lionsgate’s action comedy Shotgun Wedding, according to Deadline.
In the film, Lopez and Hammer will play the couple Darcy and Tom, an engaged couple who get more than they expected at their wedding.

After bringing their families together, the pair began to get cold feet.
But all that drama is interrupted when the wedding party is held hostage.
The official press release jokes: “Til Death Do Us Part” takes on a whole new meaning in this hilarious, adrenaline-filled adventure as Darcy and Tom must save their loved ones – if they don’t kill each other first. “
Erin Westerman, President of Production at Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group, called Jennifer and Armie a recipe for comic success, saying, “Jennifer and Armie’s irresistible magnetism, individually and together, make them the perfect combination for this action comedy.”

They are both incredibly funny actors who can also live up to the action, but what sets this film apart is the way their infectious chemistry rules the screen. You can’t take your eyes off them. ‘
Shotgun Wedding is directed by Jason Moore from Pitch Perfect. The screenplay is being written by Mark Hammer and Liz Meriwether.
Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman of Mandeville Films will produce. They will be joined by Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina from Nuyorican Productions.
Alex Young will oversee production and executive produce for Mandeville. Courtney Baxter will do the same for Nuyorican Productions.
Be my Valentine: J. Lo will star in the Universal rom-com Marry Me, starring Owen Wilson, from February 12, 2021. Lopez and Wilson were seen shooting above last November.

James Myers and Scott O’Brien oversee production on behalf of Lionsgate.
Shotgun Wedding plans to start production early next year.

Armie recently released the steamy Netflix thriller Rebecca, where he stars with Lily James. He will appear in a Kenneth Brannagh version of Death On The Nile with Elisabeth Debicki and Brannagh herself.
