Emmy winner Zendaya teases ‘two special Euphoria episodes’ coming out December 6


Just under a month after her historic Emmy win, Zendaya revealed that new episodes of her hit HBO series Euphoria are coming soon.

The 24-year-old actress, who became the youngest in history to win Outstanding Lead Actress In a Drama Series for playing Rue Bennett in Euphoria, took to Instagram on Monday to share a unique photo.

She also teased that there will be two new episodes of Euphoria, the first of which will arrive on December 6, with HBO also revealing that it is a Christmas themed episode.

‘We really missed them. Two special Euphoria episodes are coming soon. First, December 6 on @hbo ‘said Zendaya in the caption of the photo, showing a close-up of an eye with Zendaya seen in the pupil’s reflection.

HBO’s official announcement revealed that the first episode will debut at 9:00 PM ET on December 6 and will be available on HBO Max thereafter.

No details and release date have been given for the second episode, although the first will take place over the Christmas holidays.

“ In the aftermath of being left behind at the train station and falling back, the first special episode follows Rue (played by Emmy winner Zendaya) as she celebrates Christmas, ” the official description read.

The first season, which ended last August, ended when Rue, a recovering drug addict, was abandoned by her new boyfriend Jules (Hunter Schaffer), leading to her relapse.

The first special episode is entitled Trouble Don’t Last Always, written and directed by series creator Sam Levinson.

The episode also features the return of Colman Domingo (Fear the Walking Dead) as the recurring character Ali.

Domingo appeared as Ali in four of the eight episodes of Season 1 of Euphoria, a fellow addict who runs into Rue at her Narcotics Anonymous meetings.

Zendaya also recently reunited with Euphoria co-creator Sam Levinson with their new movie Malcolm & Marie, starring alongside John David Washington.

Netflix picked up the movie, which was also quarantined, for a whopping $ 30 million deal at the Toronto International Film Festival, according to a Deadline September report.

She also stars as Chani in the highly anticipated Dune reboot, which was pushed to 2021, and the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel as MJ.
